Literature Text

A Best friend is like a teddy bear.
With them we can share all of our hopes and fears,
And that trust will always be there.
They're there through all of our triumphs and tears,
Letting us know they care.
Sometimes that best friend can be new,
And sometimes they are old and worn through.
Either way we love them both,
And can never replace them.
We share with them all of our secrets, hopes and dreams,
And cry to them when life is as bad as it seems.

A best friend is like a grandfather’s quilt,
The one he'd wrap you up in when you were little.
After He'd scold you for that soup you had spilt,
And then you'd make up and he'd hold you in that quilt,
Let you know that he still loves you,
And always will, no matter what you do.
That is one thing a best friend does,
They surround you with warmth, love and coziness,
Like your grandfather's quilt did when you were a child.

A best friend is like an old black and white photograph,
Taken long ago, it's worth so much,
A thousand words and completely priceless.
To a passerby it seems quite ordinary and useless,
But to those who take the time,
The reward is worth far more than any blank check.
It holds memories, good and bad,
Days gone by, some forgotten, others not,
To those of us who really SEE and not just look,
It's the best, most priceless shot.
Well as the title states this is for the bestfriends in this world. i wrote this poem in my last year English class(but truethfully i wrote it for a girl that i really liked but only saw me as a friend.)and actually got i think a A or B. im not completely sure. but i like it and im going to post it.
